Series 1 Action Figures:

#1002 Chestbuster Santa

Chestburster Santa Cardback image detail:

A handmade vacuum-former attempt that failed.

Photos from Chestburster Santa production:

Fun Fact: At an art show, a small boy looked at Chestburster Santa and said in a very heartbroken voice, "That's so sad!". That was our first crowning achievement.

The figures first resealable package was creative, but it didn't look sharp enough.

The second attempt at the figure with non resealable package worked much better. This was the first attempt at this style of packaging.

The finalized Chestburster Santa card backing, along with the production stills from other toys in it's line (never produced)

The text on the card backing was inspired by various international bootleg toys. It reads, "Santa dies because of being sucked by a slutty alien queen. It contains eggs in it and hatch on the Christmas morning. I'm sorry, Santa is dead." The original toy description was translated an maimed across several languages using the internet.

#1003 07-D83-4N (Old Bean)

This is a robot inspired by the artwork for the album "Heavy Petting" by Tulsa-based rock group, Masters Chambers.

Prototype Production Photos:

Old Bean's original design changed a bit while the prototype was coming to life.

First run, around September 2017, roughly 15 Glow-in-the-Dark figures were created. They were packaged with extra-terrestrial flora and a digital download of the album on cassette business card.

Alongside Old Bean, the 3 members of the band were also released in various colors. They came with individual guitars. Old Bean was also released a solo figure.

Fast Forward 6 months, and wave 2 of Old Bean is released with packaging, still accompanied by his extra-terrestrial flora.
It is released in 4 Glow-in-the-Dark colors, green, blue, magenta and orange.

The back of the card has a blank space for the digital download card to be attached. Here is one production still from mixing powdered dye into the resin used to cast Wave 1.

#1004 Hott Whees VW Slinky Bus

Production numbers: Wave 1 : 5

The Hott Whees VW Slinky Bus features a miniature slinky cast right into two halves of a VW Bus. They are hand painted and quite durable. Their color is inspired by the 1969 paint 'Chianti Red' from VW. Full color card backing was created for this product, but a suitable blister was not found, so it was released without.

#1005 Turtle Hero Squad: Commander

This is an obvious mashup of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Franchise and Pokémon. This was the second project ever after the creation of 'Old Bean'. It features a bold 7 points of magnetic articulation, a hand-sewn robe, and 2 accessories, junk food and a sai. Quite an undertaking, since the only product made previously was a static figure.

Above: Some of the different pieces that make up the figure and the installation of the magnets.

Above: Some promo photos before and after the robes were finished. Note that there is no tail on the shell, which differs from the magnet sets.

Above Left: Some prototype packaging, which was later replaced with full-color card backing and resealable bubble. It was important to make this feel like an authentic TMNT bootleg, so the packaging change was necessary.

Above: Finally, the Turtle Hero Squad: Commander lives. The card art was designed before a proper and acceptable bubble could be found, resulting in a poorly placed logo. The whole packaging really does have that a bootleg feel to it.

#1006 Red Baron: Deep Dish Singles

Above: Some Red Barons waiting for their scarves, among other TZT products in the assembly lines.

Though mostly made on Pepperoni and Cheese card backs, a few Supreme flavors were made as well. Here is one before packaging:

He is outfitted with a pizza slice, a scarf, and a rifle. The back of the card features this 'Ingredients List'

The Red Baron Action Figure turned out to be a hit among small audiences, drawing interest from the online community and always making passers-by at events point and look. Many ask the question, "Why?". Here at ToneZoneToys, we are built on the founding question, "Why the fuck not?"

#1007 Cheese Wars Pizza Rancor Keeper

The story of how Pizza Rancor Keeper came to be is long. It is a vintage PVC figurine of Chuck E. Cheese combined with the headless body of a 1983 Rancor Keeper from Kenner.

After the molds, the baby Rancor monster had to be created. Luckily, the Rancor Monster from the Micro Machines series is a perfect size.

Painting the figures was next.

The creepy tit ropes were added afterward to keep things a little spicy.

Finally, a handsome card backing designed with the bubble in mind!

The back of the bootleg features text like the scrolling introduction in the original Star Wars films.

The card art also features a sloppy edit for the Character Profile Picture.

#100X Zombie Red Baron

After the molds for Red Baron had expired, a couple of miscasts were created. They were made into zombies.

They are offered with a rusted rifle, a moldy piece of pizza, and all shreds of their iconic scarf have been lost to the apocalypse.

One features a gnarly inside look of the head:

While the other is missing most a part of his bionic arm:
